The moment "someone should do this" became "I will"

Stacie Hill: The Moonshot That the Whole Room Joined

It started with one raised hand. Within minutes, the room was answering back…

When Mo Gawdat, the former Chief Business Officer of Google X and a bestselling author, came off the Abundance Summit stage in 2025, Stacie Hill raised her hand.

She'd been attending virtually, listening as he laid out the places where the race to build AI could break things that matter. In tech, the mantra is "go fast, break things." Stacie had lived by it her whole career. What moved her was his case for putting some cushion around the thing we can't afford to break: humanity.

So she said it out loud: "I will free myself up a hundred percent to work on this."

Then something happened that only happens in a room like this one. Other Members started pinging her. “I want to help too!,” “Count me in!” Word spread, and more A360 Members answered the same way. A single commitment became a collective one before she'd even left the session.

That was the beginning of Humanity in AI, the nonprofit Stacie and her fellow A360 Members went on to build. They brainstormed together, met with Mo to discuss options, weighed launching an XPRIZE, and settled on a nonprofit built to do something no single organization was doing: bring everyone globally working on the ethical implementation of AI together.

Today, Humanity in AI is what Stacie calls an orchestration and enablement layer. It has already mapped more than 100 organizations working across eight impact areas, from education and the environment to policy, government, and investing, and it's creating a structure to help align them around a shared goal: a flourishing future with AI as, in her words, "becomes humanity’s and nature’s greatest ally - ethical, benevolent, and compassionate."

Stacie Hill is a parallel entrepreneur who cut her teeth at Oracle before founding companies across technology, sports, and design. She's the CEO of Credere Corporation and now serves as Executive Director of Humanity in AI. But she credits A360 with something her résumé couldn't give her: clarity on her purpose. Hers, she realized, is to increase empathy and compassion in the world, inspiring a movement where people look after each other.

"In A360 we've got all this time to give to the world," she says of the Community, "we've got the intelligence, we've got the resources, we have the passion - we bring those together, and what we get is people that care deeply making a huge difference in the world."

She raised her hand. The room raised theirs. That's how a Moonshot launches here.
